Every concept outlined in this section should be present in a MVP
Equipment can have one of several states:
- offline; the equipment consumes no resources and can be repaired, but offers no functionality. To go from offline to any other state will require a bootup period where resources of the online state is consumed, but no functionality is provided.
- Online; the equipment’s most basic state. Power and CPU are consumed, but at the lowest level. Some equipment offer functionality at this state whereof some only has this state besides the offline state.
- Active; the equipment is in active use with all its functionality being available. This state consumed more resources than the online state. Some equipment have multiple levels of active states with different level of performance and resource consumption.
- Overloaded; the equipment is pushed past its limit to gain a boost in performance at the cost of increased resource consumption and damage to the equipment over time.
